      Pine Tar Soap Making Workshop

Pine Tar Soap Making Workshop As the Christmas/Holiday season is months away, pine tar soap making season is here. This one day class you'll be shown basic recipes and approaches to making this soap. Then you'll make a 2.5lb loaf to take home (uncured, your creation). In the class you can use up to 23% Pine tar in your soaps, just know that the more pine tar you put in the longer it takes to cure and become a solid bar and does inhibit lather at high concentrations. Pine tar soap need around two months to cure to become a solid bar (especially when using 23% Pine tar). So please prepare a ventilated out of direct sunlight space for your soaps to cure. You can make cold process or hot process or whatever process you like, I will provide a guideline if you no experience you’ll still be able to follow. There will be additives, such as: Coconut milk (vegan), Coconut powder (with casein), Clays, Oatmeal powder, Red sandalwood powder, Aloe Vera juice, just to mention a few. As well as, essential oils (some include: pine, lavender 40/42, grapefruit, ylang ylang, vanilla, melissa, kewra, champaca, peppermint) These make perfect Holiday Gifts. Prices: $135 (16 days prior to chosen date) $150 (15 days and closer to chosen date) If you miss a class yes, I am opened to rescheduling. We have 4 different locations that we'll potentially use, this depends on the number of participants. Each location has a fridge to store food. This Class is recommended for people who already know the basics of soap making or at read prior about soap making safety, processes, and additives. However, the class is opened to all. Accommodations can be made for restrictions such as palm free, scent free (no essential oils, pine a a very pungent smell), etc., so please contact me. If you need any more information (sales and group discounts) please contact me prior to ordering. Alisha Griffith: or 416 550 5439.
