Bill 66 - The Greenbelt and Water Safety

What exactly can Ontarians expect from Bill 66? Are we at risk of another Walkerton scandal where 7 people lost their lives due to contaminated water? What kind of development pressure will the Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine face? Why does the Bill allow municipalities to exempt public participation and appeal rights?  Many municipalities are opposed to using the tool the Bill creates called the Open for Business Planning Bylaw.   Susan Lloyd Swail, Senior Manager, Livable Communities, and Jack Gibbons, Chair of the North Gwillimbury Forest Alliance will be joining us to discuss the impacts of Bill 66 and what it means for Ontario going forward. Join us February 25 at The Madison (14 Madison Avenue). Doors Open at 7:00pm. Discussion starts promptly at 7:15pm. Please RSVP to let us know you can join us.
